Protests in 10 cities in Iran. Hassan Rouhani given one month

Iranian activists who were protesting for three days against the social situation in Iran have been detained. Iranian government has qualified the large-scale protests taking place in 10 major cities in Iran since August 10 illegal and applied to the law enforcement officers to prevent their actions. This was reported by IRNA. Since August 1, hundreds of people in all major cities of Iran have gone out the streets demanding from the government to take actions to prevent unemployment and price hikes in the country. In some cities clashes have taken place and tear gas has been used. The main reason for the protest was a sharp decline in the national currency, resulting in increase in unemployment. In recent days, in the black market, Iranian realm has reached a record high towards the American dollar: 120 thousand realm for one dollar. Meanwhile, at the end of May, the dollar cost 65 thousand realm. These processes have caused inflation in the country. Prices for consumer goods and fuel have sharply increased. Iranian parliamentarians gave President Hassan Rouhani a month to clarify what actions he is going to to take to overcome this economic crisis.
