Artur Movsisyan, who was arrested in the case of the commander of the Shushi special regiment Zhirayr Sefilyan and others, is alone accused of committing the crime as part of an organized group. Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal, by the decision made on 13 July, considered that there was no organized group. With this in mind, attorney Arayik Papikyan, in addition to the cassation appeal, filed a motion on changing the preventive measure of Artur Movsisyan. "Only he remained among those who were found guilty. This is ridiculous, because the criminal legislation says that only more than one person can be considered a group, especially when it refers to an organized group. But in his case it is even more ridiculous, since he was not even in Armenia, the alleged offense that took place was not in Armenia," said the attorney to "A1+". Artur Movsisyan repeatedly stated that he wanted to get a testimony against Zhirayr Sefilyan. "Taking into account the fact that he did not give evidence desired by the investigators against Zhirayr Sefilyan, he did not cooperate with the court and did not give the desired testimony, it was a political order. No judge would dare to make decisions contrary to the regime. The judge who sentenced Artur Movsisyan and the composition of the Court of Appeal committed criminal acts when they condemned Artur Movsisyan for committing the crime as part of an organized group," added Arayik Papikyan. About a month ago, the attorney filed a complaint. According to the procedure, the Court of Cassation must accept the complaint in the process within 3 months. "This is the case when the Court of Cassation must resolve the issue very quickly, excessively fast, even at night. The Court of Cassation ignores the freedom of the person and the urgency of the matter." In the process of finding Artur Movsisyan in custody he received health problems, but no necessary operation is performed. According to the attorney, Artur Movsisyan patiently waits for the courts in Armenia to begin to work legally.
