The law to give social guarantees (video)
The Draft Law on Social Work guarantees workers to provide security for them because they consider their work as risky too. “The risk is that we deal with various group of people. For example, dealing with people with mental illness, is not very secure. Also, another risky actions can be the possible counter-attacks or resistance during the home visits,” says Armine Andranikyan, Deputy Head of the Nor Nork Community Social Support Today, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan mentioned that social work should be clearly separated from social administration. According to the minister, the social worker's rights and obligations will be regulated by law. Mira Antonyan, executive director of the Armenian Relief Fund for Children's Support, says that this is the first time when the reforms in the area are so hot.
