“Baku should have applied to us 40 days before, but it wasn’t done” (video)
It isn’t mandatory that a candidate be fully aware of every event around the world, said the RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan today after the Government session, touching upon the question how the victory of Donald Trump will influence Artsakh and Armenia. To remind, years ago in reply to the question on Karabakh issue, Trump replied that he wasn’t aware of Karabakh issue. “There are so many contradicting assessments around the world, as well as in our country, so we can see that we are to deal with a stable system with its stable field of expertise, its stable, formerly existing programs, approaches and the foreign policy, which the new leadership of White House must adopt, of course, we will see. Of course, I don’t think that we should worry, but we should work in any case.” Touching upon Artsakh issue, Deputy Foreign Minister noted that by holding military trainings in Azerbaijan, Baku continues to torpedo implementation of Vienna and Saint Petersburg agreements, “The matter is that after Vienna and St Petersburg agreements, for holding such military trainings, we should have been warned 40 days before, but it wasn’t done.” As for the predictions that the situation on the border may escalate, Shavarsh Kocharyan noted, “We must always be ready for every step by the adversary. It is already an axiom for everybody, especially after April War.”
