The house of Sargis Hatspanyan, participant of Artsakh Liberation War, is in a pleasant mess now. He is going to accommodate an Aleppo-Armenian family in his house. After the recent tension, many citizens have expressed their willingness to aid Aleppo Armenians by joining “Aleppo Armenians, we aren’t absent!” Facebook initiative. “Aleppo reborn after 1915 is collapsing in front of our eyes. We are constantly criticizing the Ministry of Diaspora that this one doesn’t do its work, that one doesn’t do, but what do we do? We don’t want to continue criticizing government and authorities; we can see that those people are deaf and dumb, they don’t want to see this situation, don’t want to aid their compatriots, and we should do it,” Sargis Hatspanyan told “A1+”. Some citizens express willingness to provide their houses or several rooms in their houses to Aleppo Armenians for free. Hatspanyan would like the family accommodated in his house to settle in Armenia. The Semerjyan family migrated from Lebanon in1946 is also ready to provide one room of their house to an Aleppo Armenian. “My parents passed the migration route. I would like them to live peacefully,” said Armen Semerjyan. “ALEPPO” organization starting from May till today has received 600 requests from Syrian Armenians, who are in hopeless situation in Aleppo, to aid them to move to Armenia. For transferring from Syria to Armenia through Lebanon USD 500 is needed.
