Electricity consumption lists aren’t ready (video)
It is already mid-September, yet the consumers don’t know how much they must pay for the energy consumed. They were leaving the Haypost offices and banks angrily. “I have been coming for several days. Yesterday they announced that today the lists will be ready, why aren’t they ready, it isn’t known when they will be ready. I have been coming starting from September 10,” says one of the consumers. The press service of the Armenian Electric Networks informed that still last Friday they transferred the lists to “Haypost” and banks. The information on the consumed electricity has been also published on the official website of the ENA The problem connected with utility payments is conditioned by the electricity price hike and Government’s decision on subsidization. This month electricity fees will be accepted by another system: the amount of money to be paid by a resident and the money to be subsidized by the RA Government will be noted separately. To remind, new electricity price entered into force on August 1. The price was increased by about 7 drams. After mass protests the Government decided to compensate the increased share of electricity consumed by the citizens before the end of audit at the ENA.
