“Whenever she saw a tank, she began crying” (video)
One of the citizens in Victory Park stood out: he came with a photo in his hands. It turned out that the man in the photo was his uncle, who was killed during the Great Patriotic War. “The photo hung on the wall for a long time and as it is the 70th anniversary of the victory and he was a participant, I decided to bring the photo. He dedicated his young life to the country and its people and now he must take part in the celebrations together with the people,” says Samvel Tadevosyan, cousin of Vaghinak Tadevosyan, who was killed during the Great Patriotic War. His uncle, who was born in 1922, was the age of 19 when he went to the war. He was killed 3 years later. “At the end of April of 1945 my grandmother got the last letter from my uncle. I remember, when I was a child, whenever my grandmother saw a tank in the movies, she began crying, as my uncle was a tankman,” tells Samvel.
