Prices for flowers went up twice
The prices for flowers have gone in Armenia on International Women's Day, Lusine Yagubyan, Chairperson of Consumer Rights Protection NGO, told a press conference on Friday.
"The recent monitoring conducted in the flower market revealed that the prices have bubbled and burst twice. There are special days on the calendar when florists seize the opportunity to increase the prices and receive superprofit," she said adding that there is not any state agency to peg down the prices on these days.
"I wonder what Cara-Bala would say if he saw the prices," she said.
She also added that the alleged discounts in stores do not correspond to reality and aim to attract customers.
