Karekin II congratulates Ethiopian patriarch
The Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, has addressed a congratulatory message to Patriarch Abune Mathias, the newly elected leader of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
"We beleive that during your enthronement the friendship between the two Churches will continue to strengthen and record new results. You will also help deepen friendship and dialogue between different religions and churches," Karekin II said in the message.
The Armenian Catholicos also lauded the Armenian community of Bulgaria as a vivid evidence of historic ties and cooperation between the two Churches.
