CAPITAL’S MUNICIPALITY TACKLING ILLEGAL BUIILDING PROBLEM

At today’s press conference, Chief of Yerevan Municipality’s City Planning Department Boris Kocharyan spoke on troubles linked to building works being held in the capital. The municipality set certain norms for pavements’ length. It is forbidden to build anything of more than two-meter length on the pavements.

Boris Kocharyan said the municipality will attach a great importance to streets lightening. The office intends to crack down illegal building. “We make intense efforts to prevent illegal building, we demount illegal constructions”, the municipality official said.
