ERDB BECAME INTERESTED IN ARMENIA
Support A1+!The European Reconstruction and Development Bank has considered Armenia and Georgia as a single element so far, Armenia having a minor part at that. Now we have a representative office of the ERBD in Yerevan.
Michael Weinstein will therefore head the ERDB Yerevan office after 5 years of activities in Moscow.
Mr. Weinstein assessed the post-revolution atmosphere in Georgia as positive and pointed out to the tax and legal reforms carried out during the recent 15 months. When commenting on the banking system of Armenia he said that “Armenia still has a long way to develop”.
During the presentation held in Marriott-Armenia Hotel Michael Weinstein noted that “the support of mass media is needed to offer the Armenian businessmen the possibility to know with whom to negotiate or start business.”
However, the ERDB is not going to spread propaganda by mean of posters and advertisement. The Bank Administration will create the image via efficient press conferences.
