DEFENCE MINISTER HAD TO SIGN AGREEMENT AHEAD OF PUTTING IT ON NATIONAL ASSEMBY’S FLOOR
Support A1+!At 14:00 National Assembly resumed its session and before embarking on ratification of the international memorandum signed in Poland, under which Armenia has to dispatch a 50-person military group to Iraq, speaker Arthur Baghdasaryan asked journalists to leave the session room to conduct voting behind closed doors, as it was decided earlier.
Before journalists left the hall opposition MP Victor Dallakyan pointed his finger at a procedural mistake saying, contrary to National Assembly’s charter, the motion on holding a closed-door voting was presented without any MP’s signature.
The speaker seemed to become confused, but said the things can be put right and signature can be put under the motion right now.
Another stunning revelation was made by Dallakyan later. He said the agreement on sending troops had to be signed by the defence minister ahead of ratification. “He had to sign and then put it on National Assembly’s floor”, Dallakyan said.
The MP finds the session illegitimate.
