RUBEN MIRZAKHANYAN IS NOT INSPIRED

Politics

Ruben Mirzakhanyan, ex Chairman of Ramkavar Party of Armenia and the present Chair of Teqeyan Culture Centre thinks he wasn’t mistaken by seconding Robert Kocharyan in 2003. He keeps affirming that he acted correctly backing up Kocharyan. But he accepts that we have a dull Parliament, and we face a parliamentary and not a political and social crisis.

According to Mirzakhanyan, when the parliamentary crisis grows into a political one, Parliament may be dissolved then. But it won’t happen just because of limited commissions provided for Parliament by Constitution.

Doesn’t Mirzakhanyan regret the money wasted during the pre-election campaign? “What did we have as a result of elections? Parliament we love as it is and the computers allocated to 15% of Armenia’s schools”, he answered.

The possible special elections – be it parliamentary or presidential - don’t inspire Ruben Mirzakhanyan. He is not going to put forward his candidacy in case of the presidential elections.

Even the Georgian and Ukrainian revolutions didn’t inspire him. Moreover, he doesn’t even consider what happened in those states revolutions reasoning this way: “Those events occurred during the ordinary elections, so it’s hard to view them revolutions”.

He regards prior that the society doesn’t become disappointed since great disillusion follows the great inspiration.
