DO WE HAVE STATEHOOD?
Support A1+!May 28 is probably more valuable than September 21 just because the First Republic is the history and the Third one is the reality.
Any citizen of Armenia is well-aware of what reality he or she has. The point is that we have a state without statehood since September 21. For that sense USSR hasn’t yet collapsed for our country, since no leader of an independent state will think to announce he is supported from abroad.
Yes, on May 28, 1918, we had statehood without a state as the frontiers of the state weren’t properly outlined – the frontiers of that state expanded or reduced day by day.
But there was conscious of a citizen of an independent state. There was common consciousness of formation of state institutions. And the Russian-Turkish plot put an end to that statehood.
Who can now say that the Turks are engaged in eliminating our statehood? They couldn’t even dream that it can also be done without them.
