PARLIAMENT SPEAKER ARMEN KHACHATRYAN MEETS YOUNG PEOPLE

If the elder generation manages to be on friendly terms with the younger one, having new outlook, we will be able to create a just future ” , Parliament Speaker Armen Khachatryan said on the threshold of presidential elections.
Yesterday he met the participants of the seminars within the program on “Let’s vote for our future!”.
Representatives of youth organisations became aware of that Parliament Chair appraises them highly in development of democratic processes in Armenia .
Talking about the coming elections, Mr Khachatryan stressed importance of free, just and transparent elections. He also expressed confidence that both the president-in-office, Opposition, alternative candidates are interested in that issue .
“Power is to be legitimate, or else it will be weak. If the future president doesn’t have the vote of the people, he can’t be powerful and to solve the problems regarding the future of Armenia” , Khachatryan said.
