PARLIAMRNT APPROVES NEW NOMINATION
Support A1+!Today, parliamentary groups and fractions considered people Democratic Party activist Gagik Voskanyan’s candidacy for the post of the National Assembly Control Chamber Head. MP Stepan Zakharyan, speaking on behalf of the “People Voice” parliamentary group, said he is against the candidacy, because Gagik Voskanyan unlike his predecessor has neither relevant education nor experience in this field. Voskanyan objected saying it isn’t necessary to be economist to head Control Chamber.
“Dashnaktsutyun” fraction representative Martun Matevosyan supported Voskanyan’s objection saying honesty and diligence are more important than education.
The Parliament voted 72 to 22 in favour of Speaker’s nominee.
MP Hamayak Hovhannissyan who was angry at Tavadyan’s dismissal before voting said he quits the “Agroindustrial” group he heads. “The fact that legitimate power that even hasn’t political support retaliated against state officials makes me to reject any post in this criminal parliament”, he explained.
