THE CE DOESN'T COMMENT THE SITUATION OVER A1+ TV COMPANY

Politics

In the end of the visit of Antonas Valionis, Lithuanian Foreign Minister and the Chairman of the CE Ministerial Committee, Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan expressed his satisfaction with the visit. We are very happy about the meeting, as we discuss the process of implementation of the Armenia commitments on the CE membership, including our achievements and omissions, he said. Armenian Foreign Mister added that his Lithuanian counterpart has enumerated our successful deals but hasn’t specified our slips.

Mister Valionis too, expressed his satisfaction with the visit saying the Lithuania is keen to assist Armenia in the field of democratization.

Today Valionis met with mass media representatives. At a request to comment the situation in Armenia in the aspect of freedom of speech he said, that he had discussed this issue in details with Justice Minister. What about A1+ TV Company, he refrained from comments saying there is a special monitoring group in CE, which is scrutinizing this issue and will release its opinion upon completing the examination. And let’s don’t forget that court should deliver its verdict, he added.

Earlier, speaking in Baku on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Lithuanian Foreign Minister said it would be better to remove a cover from peace-talk process. Today he noticed that CE isn’t in touch of some agreements, reached by the presidents of two countries. Though Valionis didn’t clarify which details he meant and just reminded about confidentiality.
