THE CONSTITUTIONAL DRAFT OF "THE 6" IS UNDER DISCUSSION

The constitutional draft of "the 6" is under discussion in the National Assembley. The draft will be devided into 3 parts (human rights, governing system, court system and local government) for one-by-one discussion.

The draft considers cancellation of capital punishment. Due to the draft any Armenian with permanent residence in Armenia will be issued Armenian citizenship. Citizens of Armenia, enjoying an alternative citizenship as well, will have no right to be elected for local government or state positions.
