UN Resident Coordinator hopeful for settlement of situation in Armenia in line with Constitution
Armenian President Armen Sargsyan met today with the UN Resident Coordinator & UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Shombi Sharp. As the press department at the President’s Office reports, President Sargsyan congratulated Mr Sharp for assuming the post of Un Resident in Armenia and wished success, expressing hope his experience will enable him to implement best his mission in Armenia. The UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Shombi Sharp presented the activities and programs implemented in Armenia by UN different agencies, the source said. The interlocutors exchanged views over the situation in the country. Mr Sharp expressed hope that issues will be settled in the scope of the Constitution, with that regard highlighting the role of the president.
