Vardan Bostanjyan: Our faction is forced to vote for the proposal (video)
The National Assembly is debating on Tuesday a governmental proposal to have additional water intake of 100 million cum water from Lake Sevan. “What a specific drought are you hinting at? The measure reminds me of a toast. You say one thing but do another. Why do you take water from Sevan on every occasion? Sevan is turning into a swamp again. There is no assessment what damage it might cause to the economy. Instead of praising Lake Sevan you had better reconsider your proposal,” said Mane Tandilyan from the Yelk alliance. Vardan Bostanjyan from the Tsarukyan alliance said the measure was anti-constitutional. “I understand that our faction is forced to vote for it. I do not want to speak about the bill, I had better leave this hall,” he said.
