“IT sector almost neglected in Government program” (video)
Hayk Chobanyan, the Deputy Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises, alarms that the sector of Information Technology is almost neglected in the Government program, “I say almost because there are about 10 provisions, which refer to the IT sector not only in terms of the IT strategic policy but also in terms of the other sectors, such as e-governance, which is presented in the Government program quite well.” According to Hayk Chobanyan, this Government action plan doesn’t reflect at all the strategic directions, which exist in the IT development sector today. “It means we have deep systematic problems, the first one is the absence of strategy. As a result of the Government changes, structural changes one sector can be neglected until it is put in its place.”
