Freedom fighter Stepan Stepanyan (best known as Rembo), one of the armed gang members neutralized in Yerevan in November, 2015, was set free right in the courtroom. He was detained on February 21 and has been in custody ever since. Talking to A1+, Gagik Sarukhanyan, a member of the Founding Parliament movement said Stepanyan was found not guilty of the charges he faced. The freedom fighter was suspected of possession of illegal arms and ammunition which were found in a facility owned by Hrachik Abgaryan, a former mayor of Etchmiadzin. Gagik Sarukhanyan says the war veteran has health problems and needs long-term treatment.
