Armenia joins “Shakespeare lives” program events (video)
In 2016 the world is marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, and Armenia is a part of it. The British Council (Armenia) is joining the international events and is presenting “Shakespeare lives in metro” program in Yerevan metro stations on May 20. On that day Shakespeare’s works will be read in Yerevan metro stations, and the actors of Small Theatre will perform passages from Shake Speare play. Starting at 2 p.m. actor Arsen Grigoryan will be reading Armenian translations of Shakespeare at Yerevan’s Yeritasardakan metro station, and then the actors will move to “Republic Square” station, where the reading and performance will continue until 17:00. The events are organized within the frames of “Shakespeare lives” program of the British Council. Shakespeare Lives is a global program of events and activities celebrating the world's most popular playwright's work on the 400th anniversary of his death in 2016. Join the event, take a photo and post on your Facebook page with #ShakespeareLives hashtag. One photo will be given a prize as a result of draw. “A1+” will provide online live broadcast of the events.
