Armenian MoD: Azerbaijan continues to open sporadic fire at Armenian positions
The Azerbaijani army opened sporadic fire towards the Armenian positions on the night of May 16, shooting from various caliber firearms and sniper rifles, Armenia’s Ministry of Defense reports. Armenia’s Armed Forces are in full control of the situation, retaliating only against aimed fire by Azerbaijani troops. Nagorno-Karabakh’s Defense Ministry reports that the situation on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani Line of Contact was relatively calm this night. The Azerbaijani troops continued violating the verbal agreement on the ceasefire, mainly firing from various caliber firearms. The Nagorno-Karabakh frontline units remained committed to the agreement, continuing to protect their positions.
