Safaryan Case: New Armenia supporters throw eggs at court building (video)
On March 11, the Criminal Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal of civil activist Gevorg Safaryan and his lawyer to change the activist’s restraint.
Angered by the court ruling, members of the New Armenia opposition movement, who were waiting outside the building, threw eggs at the court building, which caused resentment among police officers. As a result, the police detained activist Gagik Yeghiazaryan.
The situation continues to remain tense near the court.
