Nairit plant employees try to approach Serzh Sargsyan (video)
Employees of Nairit chemical plant have gathered at Liberty Square and are waiting for Serzh Sargsyan who is expected to arrive at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet to participate in a May Day concert. However, the police have blocked their way preventing them from moving to the building. The workers say that they just want to see Serzh Sargsyan and inform him about the situation in the chemical plant. They assure police officers that they do not have weapons or ammunition with them. The group is still negotiating with the police at the square. The employees of the chemical are demanding their salaries for 18-24 months. A1+’s correspondent reports from the ground that police officers warned the group that they had been ordered to use force against the employees. Now the group is moving towards the statue of Tumanyan.
