The three non-governmental political forces in the Armenian parliament continue their regional rallies ahead of their major rally to be held in Yerevan on October 6. Today they met their supporters in Vanadzor city in Lori province. Naira Zohrabyan, Secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), started her speech thanking people for their attendance. “I welcome everyone who was not afraid of the local ‘princelings’ and came here,” she said. In her speech, she admitted that there are differences inside the troika over some issues, but today they have united over a common goal. “These authorities must step down because they have led the country to collapse, to a deadlock.” The BHK lawmaker reminded once again that hundreds of people leave Armenia every day seeking a better life overseas. It means we are losing one village every day. Armenians will remain in the world history as a nation ‘left under the burden of loans. Only an enemy can treat his compatriots like this!” she said. Speaking about the controversial constitutional reforms, Naira Zohrabyan said, “The authorities that violate and neglect the Constitution, have no right to speak about constitutional amendments. They only think about ensuring their power.”
