His concerts were called two hours of tenderness, love and nostalgia. Edith Piaf, who wholly changed his destiny, said, “He is real.” “You will conquer the world, as You are able to excite,”- once Charles de Gaulle said to him. Aznavour conquered the world. Became king of French chanson, world-famous singer, songwriter, actor. His songs accompany already several generations, and he continues traveling around the world and giving concerts. Today Charles Aznavour will celebrate his 90th anniversary with the concert “The legend returns” in Berlin. “Birthday parties are good for 18-year-old people. I am not concerned how old I am- 89 or 90. Just I have a free day and agreed to give a concert,”- announced Aznavour on France TV. “I returned to Paris for several days to have a rest and remember those wonderful moments, which I lived in Yerevan,”- wrote the singer on his official website. For all those, who don’t know Armenia,… you don’t know what you missed in this life.” During the interview to one of Russian TV channels Aznavour said, “My eternal love is Armenia, my ancestors’ country.” The most famous Armenian, who proved his eternal love not only by words, but also deeds, accepted Armenian citizenship in 2008 and became Armenian Ambassador in Switzerland. Life is composed of coincidences. It is from my last CD. There are such words, “Life, life… Live it properly. Isn’t it a treasure given by the destiny. It must be loved and kept. If you lost it, you couldn’t return it any more.” Live in such a way so that you can enjoy the life till the end, do your best and even more. I am in love with the life.
