Three of 16 Armenian chess players started well during David Bronstein’s international chess tournament in Belarus’s capital Minsk. Two points were scored in the second round by GM Gabriel Sargsyan and Samvel Ter-Sahakyan and IM Mher Hovhannisyan. Vladimir Akopian, Hovik Hayrapetyan, Artashes Minasyan and Robert Aghasaryan have half scores less. In today’s third round Gabriel Sargsyan will compete with Azerbaijani Vasif Durarbeyli with whites. Samvel Ter-Sahakyan’s opponent is Russian Danil Dubove and Mher Hovhannisyan’s Georgian Badur Jobava. Our most experienced GM Vladimir Akopian will meet with Azerbaijani Vugar Rasulovi. While GM Hovhannes Gabuzyan will compete with his fellow, master's candidate Manuel Petrosyan.
