Surik Khachatryan's name erased from khachkar
After the deadly shootout in Armenia's Syunik province, the name of Surik Khachatryan, former governor of the province, has been erased from a khachkar (memorial cross-stone) placed at the entrance of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
One of the readers of A1+'s page "Through the lens of your eyes" has sent us the photos of the khachkar. The photos seen on the left side feature the cross-stone with the missing name of Surik Khachatryan. The resigned as Syunik Governor following public clamour over a June 1 shootout near his house in Goris that left a former mayoral candidate dead and his brother wounded.
