Why isn't the murder unveiled?
On June 24, the Media Center will be hosting a discussion on the process of investigation into the murder case of Grigor Papyan.
The discussion starts at 1:30 p.m. A1+ will be webcasting the event live.
Grigor Papyan was killed in August 2010.
On August 28, 2010, at around 8 p.m., Papyan quarlled with Gevorg Tosunyan and Sahak Sahakyan in a café near the cultural house of Kajaran city. Papyan was killed later in the day, at around 10:30.
With the cases proceeded in the Court of First Instance of Syunik region, prejudicial inquiry of the RA Investigation Department of the Police Department of Investigation of grave crimes, found that some officials who implemented investigation and inquiry abused their formal powers and tampered with evidences of a grave crime.
A criminal case was instituted in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Syunik province. Gevorg, George and Hakob Tosunyan were arrested. Karapet Tosunyan was released with a written cognizance not to leave the country.
