Rabid dogs attack Toyota Corolla, eat front shield
Some eight dogs attacked a white Toyota Corolla car in Kasakh community in Kotayk province on Tuesday evening.
No one knows how the dogs managed to ‘eat' the front shield of the car and damaged the licence plate. The owners of the car were surprised to find the car in that condition in the morning. They say there were two white cars parked in the yard but the dogs preferred their car. Their children, who were playing in the yard, entered the house several minutes before the attack.
The incident happened in Mush district, one of the newly-built districts of the community. The local residents complained that stray dogs had increased in the neighbourhood in recent days. The information was confirmed by Narek Mkrtchyan, a representative of the community's administration.
"Several years ago, stray dogs were shot dead in the community but the hunting was soon stopped thanks to the efforts of animal rights groups. We have applied to the sterilization center for dogs to tackle the problem but they said the matter was beyond their powers," said Mr Mkrtchyan.
