Exhibition of world-famous ra Güler opens in Yerevan
An exhibition of famous Turkish-Armenian photographer Ara Güler opened at the National Gallery of Armenia on June 4.
The photos featured the life in Yerevan and Istanbul, historical places, churches, residents, famed people and Mount Ararat.
More than 50 photos taken since the 1940s were put on display.
"The exhibition is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the noted photographer and his works. His photos are very valuable and a great achievement for us," said Turkologist Anna poghosyan.
Ara Güler himself said he is very pleased to be able to present "one side of the world" to the Armenian audience.
Many of the visitors seized the opportunity to photograph with the 85-year-old photographer and get his autograph.
