Over 20 disabled youths from Russia and Ukraine today visited the Genocide Memorial on Tsitsernakaberd hilltop above the Hrazdan gorge in Yerevan. They laid flowers to the monument of innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide and observed a minute of silence in their memory.

The visit was arranged by the "Association of young disabled persons of Russia APPAREL" within the framework of the international marathon, "Cooperation 2013."
During their stay in Armenia, the participants will visit various historical places, hold meetings and discussions with representatives of NGOs.

"This is my first visit to Armenia. Most of all, I wanted to see Mount Ararat. I know that Armenia is a country known for its ancient civilization and rich culture. I liked everything I have seen to this moment. People are very kind here, Yerevan is also a beautiful city," said Evgeny Iosif, a 21-year-old participant from Russia.

"The program aims at integrating persons with disabilities into society. We have many interesting guests. Among the participants is also "Miss World 2013" who proves with her beauty, liveliness and kindness that they are all full-fledged members of society," said Arusyak Poghosyan, Head of Healthy Lifestyle Projects of the Armenian Youth Foundation
