Only heard of the petition
Vaghinak Gevorgyan, the advocate of former Head of Department of Criminal Investigation Hovhannes Tamanyan, who was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment for abusing official position, has only heard that his client has written a pardon petition.
"I have not seen him for a long time, there was no need for a meeting", today Vaghinak Gevorgyan said to "A1+". The advocate also does not know if the pardon petition has been sent back or not. Instead, he knows that Tamanyan does not have any problems with health.
We remind, that Tamanyan had accepted the charge and had suggested to hold a quick trial.
Hovhannes Tamanyan is in prison since March 24, 2011.
