The recent announcement of the Armenian Public Television [H1] that the country's entry for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest would be decided in a national final turns out to have been resulted by a misunderstanding as on Tuesday H1 already knew that Armenian rock singer Gor Sujyan will represent at Armenia at the song contest.

Sujyan, the vocalist of the Dorians band, was offered to participate at the song contest by Alexan Harutyunyan, Chairman of the Armenian Public Television and Radio Company Council.

Gor is convinced that he will perform a good song at the biggest pop music contest in Europe. As the singer says ‘he is not going to Sweden to win, he is going to sing a good song.'

The song for the contest will be chosen in a national final to be broadcast live on March 2. Gor Sujyan will sing all the songs, and in the end, the winning entry will be chosen by a combined vote of the Public Television and an expert jury.

Sujyan was expected to go to Eurovision last year, but Armenia cancelled its participation in the Baku-hosted show.

This year the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Malmo, Sweden, in May.
