US bids farewell to Flora Martirosyan
A farewell ceremony for Armenian singer Flora Martirosyan was held at St. Ghevond Mother Temple of Los Angeles.
Hundreds of American Armenians gathered at the Temple to bid last farewell to the singer, Yerevan-based 168 Zham reports.
U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern and Armenia's Consul General in Los Angeles, Grigor Hovhannisyan, participated in the ceremony.
Flora Martirosyan died in Los Angeles on Nov. 20 at the age of 55, reportedly from complications of a gallbladder surgery. Her body will be shipped to Armenia on December 10.
