PM receives outgoing Ambassador

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received outgoing German Ambassador to Armenia Hans-Jokhen Schmidt.

"We are interested in the strengthening and expansion of cooperation between Armenia and Germany. That cooperation is of essential significance for Armenia's European integration," said Tigran Sargsayn.

The Prime Minister mentioned that the Armenian-German joint projects were special in terms of efficiency and voiced hope that there would be more projects in the future.

Hans-Jokhen Schmidt expressed gratitude to Tigran Sargsyan for the cooperation and recalled the Prime Minister's support to the inclusion of Germany's investments in Armenia. The Ambassador underlined that Germany was also interested in active relations with Armenia in different spheres.

In that context, the interlocutors discussed issues related to bilateral energetic, educational, humanitarian and other projects and touched upon Armenia's integration into the European family, particularly the talks over the agreement on creating a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone.

The Ambassador mentioned that he would continue to work for the benefit of the development of Armenian-German ties.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan thanked the Ambassador for his work in Armenia and wished him more success in the future.
