Talked about North Africa
On March 22, newly appointed Ambassador of Ethiopia to Armenia Kasahun Dender Melis presented the copies of his credentials to RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, Minister Nalbandyan mentioned that the historical and cultural ties and religious commonalities bring the peoples of Armenia and Ethiopia together and serve as a good basis for the development of bilateral relations. The Armenian Foreign Minister wished the Ambassador success in his mission and voiced hope that the Ambassador would bring a new sweep to the development of bilateral cooperation through his efforts.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the good wishes, underlined that Ethiopia was interested in shaping and developing partnership with Armenia and assured that he would do everything possible to promote the bilateral partnership.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the directions for the development of bilateral relations in different spheres, the formation of a juridical-contractual field, cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as well as the strengthening of economic partnership and cultural ties.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the developments in North Africa and the processes taking place in the South Caucasus, reports the MFA press service.
