RA Premier: "Government thinks about children every day"
Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Mania Henriette Ahrens, Permanent Representative of the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Armenia.
The head of the Armenian government congratulated Mrs. Ahrens on appointment.
"The Republic of Armenia highly appreciates the cooperation with UNICEF and the latter's activity targeted at the protection of children's rights in our country, solution of issues connected with their health and improvement of living conditions," Tigran Sargsyan said.
For her part, Mania Henriette said it was a great honor for her to continue her activity in Armenia. She stressed that UNICEF Office in Armenia would continue to reinforce its relations with our country to fulfill the objectives of its mission.
Tigran Sargsyan attached importance to the implementation of the system of guardian families, noting that issues of protection of children's rights are in the focus of everyday attention of the Armenian government.
