Armenian FM, EU official discuss Karabakh peace deal
On November 28, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Ambassador Philippe Lefort.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues on Armenia-EU cooperation. In particular, they referred to the recent visit of the EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, to Armenia and the sitting of the Armenia-EU Cooperation Council.
Edward Nalbandian and Philippe Lefort discussed the process of settlement of the Karabakh conflict and emphasized confidence-building measures between the conflicting parties. In this context, the Armenian FM called the EU official's attention to racial discrimination and anti-Armenian propaganda in Azerbaijan.
