Former principal of high school N 2 in Etchmiadzin Susanna Nazaryan says "168 Hours" newspaper hurt her honor and dignity by releasing information according to which she swore at and offended her students and her son burned the school's document archive.

The court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts of Yerevan today held trials for the appeals filed by the former principal and her son against "168 Hours" newspaper and journalist Marine Martirosyan. Both the principal and her son demand 2 million dollars each as compensation.

"There is a lot of evidence, facts and eyewitnesses that can corroborate that the principal has committed violations, including a crime," "168 Hours" newspaper's lawyer Anahit Hakobyan told "A1+".

Hakobyan presented her evidence through recordings and, as an eyewitness, petitioned the court to call the sources that released the information to court.

The judge didn't rush to discuss the petition since the former principal's representative asked to get acquainted with the recordings.

Let us remind that after the newspaper's releases, Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan had dismissed principal of high school N 2 in Etchmiadzin Susanna Nazaryan of her post, and the RA Police Armavir division had instigated a case against Nazaryan for misusing official powers.

"We still don't have official information on whether the principal was charged or not. We will probably be able to receive this information from the judge during the next trial," "168 Hours" newspaper's lawyer mentioned during the conversation with "A1+".

The next trials will be held on November 15.
