Event in Kaliningrad
RA Honorary Consul Yuri Kajoyan organized a reception dedicated to the 20th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia at the center of the Armenian National-Cultural Autonomy of Kaliningrad.
Attending the event were Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan, RA Consul General in St. Petersburg Vardan Hakobyan, governor of Kaliningrad Nikolay Tsukanov, Deputy Head of the Kaliningrad region Sergey Yuspin, representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kaliningrad Boris Sheremetev, government officials, representatives of the municipality and the regional Duma, foreign diplomats accredited to Kaliningrad, clergymen, as well as representatives of the local Armenian community.
Governor Nikolay Tsukanov congratulated the gathered on the occasion and mentioned that the Armenian community had made its notable contribution to the state's economy and culture. The governor donated an icon to St. Stepanos Church and wished the Armenian people success, reports the MFA press service.
