NEW REVELATIONS
Support A1+!The announcement of the new US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk group, Matthew Bryza, about the settlement of the Karabakh conflict caused new revelations today. It turns out that the NATO delegation which arrived in Armenia lately demanded the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs to answer five questions.
Aram G. Sargsyan, the leader of the Democratic Party of Armenia informed about it. Mr. Sargsyan himself participated in the meeting and asked counter questions. The representatives of the NATO asked the following questions:
1. What does complementary policy mean?
2. Does Armenia really tend to Europe?
3. Is it possible to be with the NATO with one hand and with Russia with the other?
4. Who is Armenia afraid of in the NATO?
5. And the last question was much more straightforward: Is Armenia with the NATO or with Russia?
As for the answers of the Armenian deputies, Mr. Sargsyan advised us to ask questions to the other participants of the meeting – Vahan Hovhannisyan and Armen Roustamyan. He represented his answers only, “I considered the questions of NATO political blackmail especially as the membership in NATO is not included in the RA agenda. The NATO representatives were sincere in connection with the Karabakh conflict. They said straightforwardly for the first time that the territories are occupied and the Armenian armed forces must leave the area as soon as possible. I thanked them for sincerity.”
Before answering the questions Aram Sargsyan tried to find out, “The Soviet Union was your enemy. If you consider Russia you enemy too, let us know”. There was no answer to this statement.
