ARTHUR BAGHDASARYAN WILL NEVER BECOME SAHAKASHVILI
Support A1+!After the party “Orinats Yerkir” and Arthur Baghdasaryan left the Coalition many people anticipated that Baghdasaryan will become Sahakashvili for Armenia with all the consequences determined by it. Deputy Vazgen Manoukyan, chairman of the “National Democratic Union,” is of different opinion. “They are quite different with different biographies. Besides, the situation is also different.”
Today Vazgen Manoukyan refuted the prediction that all opposing powers will unite with Arthur Baghdasaryan in the nearest future. “Has there been such a person in Armenia who was able to unite everybody?” By the way, Vazgen Manoukyan didn’t comment on the prospect of Arthur Baghdasaryan’s joining the Opposition. “Everything will be settled in the course of time, and we shall know if Arthur Baghdasaryan has found his place.”
Vazgen Manoukyan claims that he has noticed Arthur Baghdasaryan’s strange behavior for a long time and advised him to leave Coalition a month ago as “if you are constantly criticizing the deeds of others but are unable to influence on the government you had better leave.”
In Manoukyan’s opinion it was decided to punish Arthur Baghdasaryan for his frequent announcements about corruption and election frauds, and the fact that OYP left the Coalition is not determined by any “intrigues”
“EVEN DEMOCRATIC FISH KNOW WHAT AN OCEAN IS”
“Where should a fish living in an aquarium know what an ocean is?” by this comparison Vazgen Manoukyan tried to prove that the Western people haven’t the slightest notion of real democracy. “They inherited that system from their ancestors.”
According to him the local inhabitants will probably have better notion what they must do for democracy and they shouldn’t follow the advice of foreigners. “I don’t think we must rely on them and bring up “Sahakashvili”s,” says Vazgen Manoukyan. “We must have “Sasuntsi David”s.”
Anyway, the disappointment of the NDU chairman was evident and it was confirmed by the OYP ministers who preferred to leave their party. This refers to Sergo Eritsyan, minister of Education and Science; “His living conditions are excellent and he doesn’t want to be deprived of them. If they leave the party it will mean they are aware of the results of the next elections.” In case the current situation continues in the country Vazgen Manoukyan will not participate in the elections. “The mechanism of elections is already exhausted in Armenia.”
“There is no sense in anticipating that the elections will make changes in Armenia.” As for the Opposition Vazgen Manoukyan states that there is certain discord and conflict from time to time and “the current situation has its direct impact on them.”
