CALL FOR CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE
Support A1+!Today leader of the Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian made an announcement and called on the Armenian nation to civil disobedience. He called on the people to gather in the Opera House square on November 25 to participate in his initiative.
The announcement mentions that «The aims of this draft which is bound upon us are to create conditions to preserve and pass to each other the stolen authority, to guarantee their own immunity, to stipulate the economic confiscation of the wealth stolen from the people, and to eliminate all hopes to elect and be elected fairly and to ever establish democracy in our country».
Raffi Hovannisian announced that the authorities who have made robbery their way of life are pretending supporters of Constitution and Law. But the society must believe in itself only. He also said that if the authorities that deprive people of their own houses, kill our sons in the army and cause the migration of more than a million of people in peaceful times, violate the existing Constitution, they will do the same with the new one.
“Today the society is divided into two unequal parts. One is the criminal minority, and the other is the majority which renounced that system and is renounced by it. Today the majority has the possibility to put the basis of the cathedral of the civic society in Armenia.
We say “No” to forgeries and despotism, which only weeks ago did whatever is wanted during the elections of local governing bodies. We renounce the authorities which try to make the ancient nation equal to a nomadic tribe”.
Raffi Hovannisian also announced that “This is a call for civil disobedience, and non-participation is the first, but not the last way of peaceful combat.”
By the way, the members of the Justice bloc were not aware of the announcement, that is, it was not agreed with the bloc or with the other representatives of the format.
