KLEPTOCRACY IN ARMENIA
Support A1+!Head of Human Rights and Democracy party Ruben Torosyan stated today that corruption in Armenia is focused within the ruling coalition. He even invented a term «kleptocracy» for it. In Torosyan's opinion the coalition formed with the assistance of the President is an embodiment of corruption.
The parties, which backed Kocharyan at the elections were favored with these ministries”, Torosyan stated during today’s press conference. He is indignant that his own rights and the rights of those citizens, who voted for Justice bloc, National Unity party and the United Labor Party, were violated. According to him, at least 85 deputies not serving on the three ruling parties do not take part in the work of the government. Ruben Torosyan thinks it is useless to turn to the Armenian court system and is going to appeal to the European Court on Human Rights.
By the way, today the Human Rights and Democracy party published a book titled “Coalition + Corruption = Kleptocracy”.
