The Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov has not made any announcement in Azerbaijan that would be in favor of Azerbaijan or against Armenia. He has only announced that in the Russian Federation Minsk group he is carrying out active work for the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict and in case of mutual agreement he is ready to become the guarantee of peace.

And the Azerbaijanis had great expectations from this visit. Together with his colleague, Sergei Lavrov has discussed the issues of the development of bilateral relations. He has also announced that Azerbaijan's deepening cooperation with NATO does not trouble him.

Lavrov has also met the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.
