ARMEN AVETISYAN IN OMDUDSPERSON’S LIMELIGHT
Support A1+!Today representatives of Armenian Ombudsman Larisa Alaverdyan visited Armen Avetisyan, who is said to have annouced a hunger strike in the Nubarashen jail.
According to the information available, the chairman of the Armenian Aryan Union took this step because of the pressure exerted on him. Armen Avetisyan told the Ombudsman’s representatives about some disaccord with his cellmates, which was settled after the interference of the warders. However he is demаnding to be moved in another cell. Avetisyan informed that he has no health problems and does not complain of the warders. The ombudsman appealed to the General Prosecutor with a request to refrain from arrest as preventive punishment.
