TIGRAN SARGSSYAN SAYS FINANCIAL SITUATION IN ARMENIAN NOT SO BAD

Politics

Armenian Central Bank governor Tigran Sargssyan spoke on the 2005 state budget Monday in parliament.

He said the situation in Armenia is not as bad as the republic population thinks.

In his words, prices for potato, bread and vegetables have even slipped for the last months.

Fish and seafood prices went up instead, Sargssyan said.

Does the Central Bank retain control over the situation in financial market?

Amid USD precipitous decline many of currency exchange offices are operating breaking the law.

It isn’t a secret that the situation in financial area impacts the republic’s macroeconomic stability.

By the end of his speech, Tigran Sargssyan gave a precious peace of advice saying it would be better to keep money in drams, not in dollars.
